PACE TR-10 Analog Computer

pace_tr10_01s.jpg The PACE TR-10 is believed to be the first transistorized desktop analog computer used at NSA. Programming was accomplished by manually interconnecting its components to solve complex mathematical equations. The ideal duration of a single solution runtime was 15 to 60 seconds, not counting setup time. This computer required an extensive knowledge of mathematics to operate. It was made by Electronics Associates Inc. in the 1960/61 time frame. Click on thumbnail to enlarge. (TR-10 photo by Ralph Simpson)
